Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Directional Drill Locator based in Baton Rouge, LA. Responsibilities include leading a crew of 4 or more, operating and maintaining directional drill locating equipment, assisting in the planning and execution of drilling projects, ensuring accuracy and safety during operations, and conducting inspections of work sites. The locator will collaborate with the drilling team to ensure proper utility markings, troubleshoot challenges in the field, and adhere to all safety standards and company policies.

Most of our work is done for AT&T, making precise facility locating crucial. We identify all AT&T facilities during their projects and using a utility locator is vital to ensure our success.
We assign dedicated crews to tasks such as placing boxes, pulling cables, and installing pedestals. While we use a vac truck, when necessary, most of the digging and utility or bore pit exposure is handled by our laborers. Every crew has access to excavators and any other equipment required to finish the job.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of directional drilling equipment, locating practices, and underground utility construction
- Proficiency in reading utility maps, construction plans, and utilizing locating equipment accurately
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues, assess worksite conditions, and adapt to varying environments
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to coordinate effectively with the drilling crew
- Physical capability to work outdoors under different weather conditions, including lifting and operating equipment as needed
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Previous experience in directional drill locating

Work hours: 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday through Friday
Starting pay: $350.00 Per Day for relevant experienced candidates
