Lease Operator

Position Summary

QPS is seeking a dependable and safety-focused Lease Operator to monitor, operate, inspect, and maintain natural gas production facilities and associated equipment in the Indiana, PA area. The Lease Operator will be responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and environmentally compliant operation of well sites, production equipment, tanks, compressors, and gathering systems.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Monitor daily production from natural gas well sites and associated facilities.
• Perform routine inspections of wells, separators, heaters, tanks, compressors, dehydration units, and related equipment.
• Record and report production data, operating pressures, temperatures, and flow rates.
• Adjust equipment settings to optimize production and maintain operational efficiency.
• Conduct well start-ups, shut-ins, and operational checks as required.
• Perform minor maintenance and repairs on production equipment.
• Troubleshoot operational issues and coordinate repairs.
• Inspect and maintain valves, regulators, pumps, and instrumentation.
• Follow all company safety policies and environmental regulations.
• Complete daily operating reports and inspection records.
  
  

Qualifications

Required:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  
  

Preferred

• 2 years of oil and gas production operations experience.
• Experience with Marcellus or Utica Shale operations.
• Knowledge of compressors, dehydration units, and gathering systems.
• OSHA 10, SafeLand, First Aid/CPR, or similar certifications.
