Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated CAD Draftsman to join our engineering team. This role is responsible for creating drawings and documentation for wire harness assemblies, as well as developing clear and effective work instructions for production. The ideal candidate works efficiently in a fast-paced setting and maintains a strong focus on quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and maintain detailed 2D CAD drawings for wire harness assemblies
- Generate clear, step-by-step work instructions
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to ensure design accuracy and manufacturability
- Revise drawings and documentation based on engineering changes and feedback
- Maintain organized documentation and version control of all drawings
- Support continuous improvement efforts in design and production processes
Qualifications
- Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
- Good communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-output environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with wire harness design or electrical assemblies
- Familiarity with manufacturing or production environments
- Understanding of BOMs (Bill of Materials) and revision control processes
