RESPONSIBILITIES:
- As a Billing Associate, your primary responsibility is to oversee prescription insurance claims.
- Adjudication of pharmacy claims with third party payers.
- Contact third party payers for over-rides on denied claims.
- Work with nursing staff to coordinate solutions on rejected claims.
- Review Long Term Care facility files and reconcile any changes to resident’s status (responsible party, admission, discharge, prescription coverage).
- Work with residents and families to resolve billing issues.
- Prior Authorization and review.
- Processing Long Term Care facility returns.
- Billing and organizing of Emergency kits.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Prior medical/pharmacy billing experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
- Availability to work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday between 8:00 am and 5:30 pm with a weekend rotation once every 3 weeks
