CNC Machinist / Programmer / Shop Mentor
Location: Carroll County / North Central Indiana
Quality Performance Products (QPP) is a growing precision machine shop specializing in custom camshaft manufacturing, engine components, and CNC machining. We’re looking for an experienced machinist who wants more than just running parts—we’re looking for someone who enjoys solving problems, improving processes, and helping build a great shop.
What You’ll Do
- Set up and operate CNC mills and/or lathes.
- Program and optimize machining operations (Mastercam experience preferred).
- Improve setups, tooling, fixtures, and production efficiency.
- Train and mentor less-experienced machinists.
- Read blueprints and inspect parts to tight tolerances.
- Help establish shop standards and best practices.
- Work directly with ownership to grow the company’s machining capabilities.
Qualifications
- 10 years of machining experience preferred.
- Strong setup and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with Mastercam or similar CAM software.
- CAD experience (SolidWorks or Fusion 360 is a plus).
- Experience with manual machines is a plus.
- Strong understanding of precision measurement and quality control.
- Positive attitude and willingness to teach others.
