Job Summary :

Individual is expected to build on an existing knowledge base of both the service and repair areas of operations. Company will further develop individual to a tier competency level ultimately culminating in performing comprehensive repairs and remodels. This is a technical-level position requiring experience (1 - 2 years) in pool service, maintenance, and repair. The individual must have a Certified Pool Operator's certification (CPO). The individual must have

  • Personal drive and initiative. A desire to be more through development and training
  • Self starting capabilities and desire
  • Computer skills and interest
  • Mechanical aptitude with hand tool and power tool knowledge

General

Individual will perform multi functions

  • Perform a limited commercial pool service route on specific days
  • Develop and continuously update repair leads from software app
  • Complete beginner to intermediate type of repairs at residential or commercial sites under supervision of Chief Mechanic
  • Support the Chief Mechanic on larger / complex repairs or alterations
  • Level I – Mechanical

    This individual ensures all work is performed safely and professionally, consistent with company policies, guidelines, and requirements. Types of work :

  • Heaters
  • Controllers
  • Pumps
  • Changing motors or time clocks
  • Replacing seals and / or seal plates
  • Develop and submit proposals
  • Support Log entries that track work status.
  • Must successfully pass in-house Level I Mechanical Theory and Practical Examination within 60 days of hire

    The Level I shall be required to attend seminars or trade shows as may be requested by management

    Aquatic System Professional (AST)

    Work is related to the pool(s), spa(s), or fountain(s). It may include cleaning, brushing, scrubbing, skimming, pumping, backwashing, chemical testing and evaluation, chemical addition, timer or setting changes, filter replacement, log entries into Skimmer, etc. All work shall be performed in compliance with company, state, and local requirements, codes, or standards.

    The AST shall maintain the work truck, cleaning / maintenance equipment, and work uniforms in a clean and working state of order, reflecting company values and attitudes.

  • As directed, perform service, maintenance, and repair services on relevant pool / spa equipment at new or existing residential or commercial properties.
  • Service pools and spas as may be necessary
  • Submit for permits, e.g., like-for-like, approvals with the Southern Nevada Health District.
  • Maintain Work Order log, etc. (Skimmer software)
  • Assist Operations as directed.
  • Sign or authorize timesheets for any subordinate personnel.

  • Order replacement equipment and materials consistent with the authorized scope
  • Monitor – follow up all work to ensure proper equipment performance and operations are maintained consistent with contract requirements.
  • Complete internal company documents as may be directed
  • Forward documents or records to the office as may be required
  • Interface and coordinate with Southern Nevada Health District as it may relate to work performance
  • Complete job estimates and generate proposals

  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) :

  • An understanding of the theories related to pool equipment and regulatory legislation is required.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills,
  • Knowledge or learning of automated controllers.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Self-motivated with proven organizational, analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills. Strong computer skills - Proficient in using Microsoft software, particularly Excel.
  • Supervision Received :

    Minimal supervision required; extensive latitude for independent judgment

    Supervisory Responsibilities :

    Interfaces with the Client and performs as the company representative when warranted or directed.

    Budgetary Responsibilities :

    This individual may authorize new work not exceeding $ 500.00
