Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Group Facilitator to join our team. As a Group Facilitator, you will play a vital role in creating a supportive and inclusive environment for children and young adults. Your primary responsibility will be to lead group sessions focused on social skills, conflict resolution, and personal growth, ensuring that each participant feels heard, respected, and valued.
Responsibilities:
- Design and facilitate group sessions tailored to meet the needs of our participants, including those with special education or behavioral health needs.
- Develop and implement engaging and interactive activities that promote social skills, self-awareness, and conflict resolution.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure that group sessions align with our program goals and objectives.
- Establish and maintain a positive and respectful atmosphere during group sessions, addressing any conflicts or issues that may arise.
- Provide individualized support and mentorship to participants, helping them to set and achieve their goals.
- Monitor and assess the effectiveness of group sessions, making adjustments as needed to ensure that participants are meeting their goals.
- Maintain accurate records of group sessions, including attendance, progress, and any challenges or concerns.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Education, or a related field OR relevant work experience with diverse groups of youth in a group setting.
- Experience working with children and young adults, including those with special education or behavioral health needs.
- Strong mentorship and facilitation skills, with the ability to create a positive and inclusive environment.
- Experience with conflict management and the ability to address any conflicts or issues that may arise during group sessions.
- Ability to educate participants on social skills, self-awareness, and conflict resolution.
- Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups of individuals.
