What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dance Teacher/Choreographer position at Quality Music and Dance Lessons?
Quality Music and Dance is seeking enthusiastic, reliable, and passionate dance teachers to join our team for the 2026–2027 dance season. We are looking for instructors who love working with children, enjoy creating a positive classroom environment, and are excited to inspire the next generation of dancers.
Our studio offers a welcoming, family-oriented atmosphere where teachers are supported and encouraged to share their creativity while helping dancers grow both technically and personally.
Responsibilities
- Teach weekly dance classes in your area(s) of expertise (examples: ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, lyrical, acro, contemporary)
- Plan and lead engaging, age-appropriate classes for dancers of varying skill levels
- Choreograph routines for the annual recitals
- Maintain a positive, encouraging classroom environment
- Communicate professionally with studio staff, students, and families
- Attend staff meetings, rehearsals, and studio events as needed
- Support studio policies and uphold the values of Quality Music and Dance
Qualifications
- Dance training and/or teaching experience in one or more dance styles
- Experience working with children and teens
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Reliable, organized, and team-oriented
- Passion for teaching and mentoring young dancers
- Background check will be required
Schedule
- Classes are typically held afternoons and evenings Monday–Thursday with possible weekend events and rehearsals.
Pay based on experience
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
