Job Summary
Local (Marion, OH) General Contractor is accepting applications for a full-time Accounting Assistant position. Prefer an associate degree in accounting. This in office position will work closely with the Office Manager. Knowledge of Foundation Software is a plus. Microsoft office experience is mandatory. Other administrative assistant duties, as needed, would be expected. Salary is based on experience.

Duties
- Perform data entry of financial transactions into accounting software and maintain accurate records.
- Payroll experience is preferred including multi-state payroll and reporting.
- Assist with invoicing, billing, and accounts receivable processes to ensure timely payments.
- Manage office administrative tasks including filing, document proofreading, and maintaining organized spreadsheets using Microsoft Office.
- Handle multi-line phone systems, answer client inquiries with professionalism, and provide exceptional customer service at the front desk.
- Support bookkeeping activities by reconciling accounts, managing petty cash, and preparing financial reports.
- Maintain office supplies inventory and assist with general office management duties to promote a productive work environment.
Skills
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), and spreadsheets for data management.
- Excellent computer literacy with experience in data entry, typing, proofreading, and using productivity software efficiently.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks such as calendar management and filing simultaneously.
- Effective phone communication skills including phone etiquette and handling multi-line phone systems confidently.
- Previous office experience or administrative experience is preferred to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
- Knowledge of office management practices combined with clerical experience to support overall administrative functions.
- Customer service skills that foster positive client communication and support a welcoming front desk environment.
- Strong organizational skills coupled with time management abilities to meet deadlines efficiently.
