What are the responsibilities and job description for the Paint Assistant - 1st and 2nd Shift position at Quality Manufacturing Corporation?
Quality Manufacturing is a growing metal fabrication company located in Urbandale, IA with 6 different buildings. We are looking to hire Paint Assistants for 1st Shift (5:00am-3:30pm) and 2nd Shift (3:30pm-2:00am). Paint Assistants are responsible for hanging, loading, and drying parts. Ideal candidates understand paint preparation and are knowledgeable about quality and appearance. Must be a responsible, safety-conscious worker.

Requirements:
- Previous manufacturing experience is preferred
- Hang metal parts on racks or hooks, capping and/or masking off areas that aren't to be painted
- Remove surface imperfections and rust in metal by dual action (DA) sanding
- Unload painted parts and prepare for shipping
- Perform part counts and maintain accurate inventory
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment while still being safety cautious
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. consistently
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time and bend and kneel frequently
