Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and monitor screw machines to produce precision parts according to technical drawings and specifications
- Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and machining instructions to ensure accurate production runs
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on screw machines to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency
- Conduct quality inspections using measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and precision measuring instruments to verify part dimensions and tolerances
- Adjust machine settings and tooling based on measurement feedback to maintain consistent quality
- Follow safety standards in production environments, including proper use of hand tools, welding equipment, cranes, and other machinery
- Document production data, machine performance logs, and quality control reports accurately for process tracking
Experience
- Proven experience operating screw machines or similar machining equipment in a manufacturing setting
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret mechanical blueprints and technical drawings
- Knowledge of machining tools setup, tooling selection, and precision measurement techniques such as micrometers and calipers
- Ability to work safely in environments requiring adherence to safety standards in production facilities
- Basic math skills for measurement calculations and process adjustments
