Quality Machine and Tool Works Inc. is hiring a CMM Programmer / Operator / Calibration Tech for a direct hire role with a well-established manufacturing company in Columbus, IN. This position is ideal for someone with hands-on programming / operation / calibration Tech role experience who takes pride in precision and quality.
What You’ll Do
· Program, set up, and operate CMM equipment and software
· Perform in-process and final inspections
· Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and 3D CAD models
· Document inspection results (PPAP, FAI, SPC)
· Use and calibrate precision measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges
· Perform precision calibration of instruments and equipment according to procedures and standards.
· Maintain calibration records and results in a timely manner per monthly schedule Gage Trak software
· Daily gauge pulls for equipment cell set ups for manufacturing process
· Identify and report quality concerns
· Support continuous improvement initiatives / Process Audits
What We’re Looking For
· CMM programming AND operating experience required
· Experience with AIMS Modus, PC-DMIS, Calypso, CMM Manager, or similar inspection software preferred
· Strong understanding of GD&T and blueprint reading
· Prior manufacturing inspection or quality control experience
· Familiarity with ISO or AS quality systems preferred
· Metrology background and calibration experience
· Ability to troubleshoot and repair gauges, and electronic equipment
· Strong attention to detail and reliability
Compensation & Benefits
· Starting at $25.00/hour or higher based on experience
· Performance raises at 90 days, 1 year, and annually thereafter
