Heavy Diesel Mechanic – (Duncan, SC)
Quality Logistics Inc. is a family-owned company that’s been in business for over 25 years. We’re a tight-knit, safety-focused team with an in-house shop maintaining a mixed fleet of trucks . We’re looking for an experienced and dependable Diesel Mechanic to join our crew and keep our trucks rolling safely.
Position Summary
The Heavy Diesel Mechanic will diagnose, repair, and maintain Class 8 tractors and trailers. You’ll handle everything from brake and suspension work to full inspections and general maintenance. We take pride in doing things the right way — safely, efficiently, and with integrity.
Schedule & Pay
- Hours: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM
- Some weekend and on-call work as needed
- Starting Pay: $28/hour and up (based on experience)
Requirements
- Minimum 4 years of diesel mechanic experience
- Must have your own tools
- Reliable transportation to and from work
- Knowledge of Freightliner, Mack, or Peterbilt systems preferred
- CDL is a plus but not required
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team
Responsibilities
- Perform inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on tractors and trailers
- Service brakes, suspension, and air systems
- Complete DOT inspections and documentation accurately
- Work with the shop supervisor to prioritize repairs and minimize downtime
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace
