Duties
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently to process transactions accurately and quickly
- Assist customers with product inquiries, provide product demos, and suggest additional items through upselling techniques
- Stock shelves, organize merchandise, and ensure displays are attractive and well-maintained according to merchandising standards
- Handle cash, credit card transactions, and perform cash handling responsibilities with integrity
- Maintain excellent phone etiquette when assisting customers over the phone or via online inquiries
- Support inventory management by stocking products and conducting regular stock checks
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing questions, resolving issues, and creating a welcoming shopping environment
Requirements
- Previous cashiering experience using POS systems is preferred
- Supervising experience in retail or grocery store settings is a plus
- Strong communication skills in both English and another language (bilingual) preferred
- Ability to perform basic math for cash handling and retail math calculations
- Experience with merchandising, stocking, and product demos is advantageous
- Knowledge of grocery store operations or retail sales environment is beneficial
- Excellent phone etiquette, customer service skills, and the ability to upsell effectively
- Basic understanding of retail math for transactions and inventory management
