Responsibilities
- Assist Dietary Director in the organization and implementation of approved policies and procedures of the Culinary Department.
- Assist Dietary Director in ensuring Culinary Services compliance of federal, state and local regulations
- Assist Dietary Director in operating within a budget by monitoring and controlling expenses
- Produce the department work schedules as assigned by the Dietary Director
- Oversee coverage of staffing shortages
- Assist Dietary Director in completing the food order and supplies according to the established method. Receive the food order when it is delivered.
- Assist Dietary Director in completing a physical inventory when preparing to place an order to include coffee, supplements, bread, dairy and chemicals
Requirements
- Supervisory experience, preferably in the food service industry
- 2 years' experience in food service.
- Experience in long-term care preferred
- ServSafe Certification or ability to obtain
- Reliable transportation
- Availability to work some weekend and evening shifts as needed
