What are the responsibilities and job description for the Landscape Crew Leader position at QUALITY LAWN & LANDSCAPE?
The Landscape Crew Leader is responsible for overseeing a small team while performing comprehensive lawn maintenance services on residential properties in Fairfax County. This role involves hands-on work using equipment such as push mowers and trailers, combined with driving responsibilities and ensuring all tasks meet quality and safety standards. Strong leadership and bilingual communication skills in Spanish are essential to effectively manage crew members and deliver excellent service.
Responsibilities
- Supervise a crew of 2-3 team members to maintain work quality and safety standards
- Perform lawn maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, edging, weeding, mulching, aerating, and yard clean-ups
- Operate push mowers, trailers, and trucks safely and efficiently
- Drive truck and trailer to various residential job sites within Fairfax County
- Coordinate daily work assignments and ensure timely completion of projects
- Communicate effectively with crew and customers, particularly in Spanish
Required Qualifications
- Proficient in lawn mowing, trimming, edging, and mulching techniques
- Demonstrated team leadership skills
- Ability to communicate effectively in Spanish
- Excellent Customer Service
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of lawn care experience
- Valid US driver’s license
