VMC Set-up/operator

• Set up and Operation: 3 years of CNC programming and setup experience (Okuma and Mazak required). Proficiency with Okuma OSP and Mazak Mazatrol controls. Ability to program at the machine and with CAM software (Mastercam or similar). Strong knowledge of metal cutting, speeds/feeds, tooling, and fixtures.
• Program Management: Load and verify CNC programs Mastercam or conversational programming), making minor edits or adjustments to tool offsets, feed rates, and speeds to optimize machine performance and part quality.
• Quality Control: Read and interpret engineering blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications (including Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)). Inspect first-run and subsequent parts using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Monitor machine operations closely, detect malfunctions or problems (e.g., tool wear, material defects), and perform minor troubleshooting to correct performance issues and minimize downtime.
• Maintenance and Safety: Perform routine maintenance on machines, such as checking and replenishing coolant/oil levels and maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment. Adhere strictly to all company safety protocols and procedures.
• Documentation and Collaboration: Accurately complete production and quality logs, document actions, and communicate effectively with supervisors, engineers, and other team members regarding job status, material issues, or equipment problems
