Responsibilities include:
Shipping/Receiving:
- Perform tasks to control, manage and document receiving, storing, and issuing of materials.
- Receive purchased and completed manufactured items by verifying labeling, and quantities of materials against documentation.
· Package completed products for shipment.
- Create shipping documents for domestic and international shipments, required customs documents, packing slips and waybills.
- Ship goods ensuring deadlines are achieved and complete documentation is included.
- Review customer orders to determine method and mode of shipment per customer requirements, as well as review of shipping materials that may be required.
- Record issue and receipt transactions in the ERP system.
- Maintain neat and organized material storage and stockroom areas.
- Unpack goods and perform incoming inspection to validate information against bills of lading, purchase orders, RMAs, or other records and log into ERP system.
Inventory Control:
- Become an expert in how the ERP System works and manage all aspects of it from Inventory, Stock Transactions, Work Orders, Packing Slips, etc.
- Assist with monthly physical inventory cycle count audits to verify accuracy of computer records; conduct a complete physical inventory count bi-annually.
- Assist in reconciliation of inventory with accounting records that are maintained on a separate database platform.
- Report stockroom errors and inventory discrepancies to manager.
- Ensure stock room(s) are organized, parts are labeled and maintained to easily find, FIFO and ERP system is current with locations of inventory at all times.
- Pull items from stock to fill requests for production and/or shipment.
- Generating work orders within the ERP system, as well as perform kitting of material for work orders and tracking status of builds
- Track inventory related non-conforming products (NCP)/return material authorizations (RMAs) within ERP system.
Qualifications
- Experience preferred in supply chain, stockroom, and inventory control operations within a manufacturing environment strongly preferred.
- Must demonstrate attention to detail and a strong sense of urgency.
- Must demonstrate the initiative and propensity to assume new responsibilities.
- Strong self-motivation, the ability to learn and take directions, and the ability to manage multiple priorities with limited direction is required.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
- Familiar with ERP systems and how they work (Syteline a plus).
- Ability to communicate effectively by telephone, in person, or through written communication.
- Ability to work in a team environment and to work effectively with all levels of customers, suppliers, and Company personnel.
- Knowledge of ISO quality processes.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs. at one time.
- Experience with on-line shipping, and have in-depth knowledge of international shipping requirements and regulations a plus.
Physical Demands
· Ability to lift 50 pounds
· Ability to walk/stand for periods in excess of 2 hours at a time.
Work Environment
· Employee will be exposed to moving ladders and carts.
· Due to the close proximity of the shop floor, the noise level in the work environment may be moderate to loud and may need to utilize ear plugs.
· Must have proper footwear, work boots preferred.
