Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests, handle inquiries, and address any concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
- Process guest arrivals and departures, handle room assignments, and maintain accurate records.
- Manage front desk operations, including operating the phone system, handling guest requests, and maintaining the front desk area.
- Conduct night audits, ensuring all transactions are accurate and complete.
- Provide support during peak periods, including handling overflow phone calls and ensuring that all guests receive prompt assistance.
- Offer personalized recommendations for local attractions, dining options, and events.
- Respond to guest inquiries and resolve any issues promptly and professionally.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless guest experiences.
- Maintain knowledge of hotel services, amenities, and policies to effectively address guest queries.
- Maintain a high level of cleanliness and organization in the front desk area.
Skills
- Proven experience in a front desk or customer service role, preferably in the hospitality industry.
- Strong knowledge of hotel operations, including front desk procedures, phone systems, and guest services. (Choice hotels system)
- Excellent communication skills, with a focus on phone etiquette and customer service.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Experience with night audits and hotel management software.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Knowledge of hospitality management practices and principles is an asset.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Qualifications

- Customer service experience
