We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Assistant Head of Housekeeping to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will assist in managing daily housekeeping operations, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction. Your leadership will inspire your team to deliver exceptional service while maintaining efficient and safe work practices across all hotel areas.
Duties
- Support the Head of Housekeeping in supervising daily cleaning activities and staff schedules
- Oversee cleaning procedures, including floor care, surface sanitation, and guest room preparation
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and cleanliness standards across all hotel departments
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas to uphold quality standards
- Train and motivate housekeeping staff on proper cleaning techniques, safety protocols, and customer service skills
- Manage inventory levels for cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring timely replenishment
- Assist in implementing eco-friendly cleaning practices and continuous process improvements
- You will also be expected to clean rooms daily
Requirements
- Proven experience in hotel housekeeping management or custodial roles within the hospitality industry
- Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, floor care, industrial cleaning, and janitorial best practices
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team
- Familiarity with hospitality standards, guest service excellence, and safety regulations
- Ability to coordinate multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Prior experience with housekeeping management systems or related software is a plus
