Responsibilities
- Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, planting, pruning, and planting bed care to sustain vibrant outdoor environments.
- Operate groundskeeping and landscaping equipment such as lawn mowers, power tools, irrigation systems, and hardscape tools safely and efficiently.
- Maintain irrigation systems by inspecting for leaks or malfunctions and making necessary repairs to ensure proper watering schedules.
- Conduct groundskeeping duties like leaf removal, snow plowing, debris cleanup, and general outdoor upkeep to keep areas tidy and safe.
- Identify plants accurately for proper care and management; apply pesticides responsibly following safety guidelines when necessary.
- Execute tree trimming, shrub pruning, and other horticultural practices to promote healthy growth and landscape aesthetics.
- Follow all safety protocols diligently during outdoor work activities to prevent accidents and ensure a secure work environment.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in outdoor maintenance, landscaping, or groundskeeping roles with familiarity using hand tools, power tools, and grounds maintenance equipment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to landscape equipment operation and basic repairs.
- Knowledge of horticulture principles including plant identification, lawn care techniques, gardening practices, and pest management.
- Ability to operate irrigation systems effectively and perform routine system inspections.
- Experience with snow plowing or winter weather maintenance is a plus.
- Excellent understanding of safety procedures related to outdoor work environments; commitment to adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Physical stamina for outdoor work in various weather conditions; ability to lift heavy objects and perform manual labor as needed.
