JOB OVERVIEW
The nature of the hotel housekeeping supervisor is to oversee the overall functionality of housekeeping and persons he or she manages, specifically in the absence of the Executive Housekeeper.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assigns workers their duties and inspects work for conformance to prescribed standards of cleanliness.
- Investigates complaints regarding housekeeping service and equipment, and takes corrective action.
- Obtains list of rooms to be cleaned immediately and list of prospective check-outs or discharges to prepare work assignments.
- Coordinates work activities among departments.
- Conducts orientation training and in-service training to explain policies, work procedures, and to demonstrate use and maintenance of equipment.
- Inventories stock to ensure adequate supplies.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Ability to lift, push and pull about 30 lbs
- Physical stamina and mobility, including ability to reach, kneel and bend.
- Experience with current computer software, including Microsoft Windows platforms, Microsoft Office, MICROS point of sale, etc.
