Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of designated areas, including floors, surfaces, restrooms, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment
- Conduct janitorial tasks such as trash removal, dusting, sweeping, mopping, and disinfecting to uphold hygiene standards
- Carry out floor care procedures including buffing, polishing, stripping, and sealing floors to maintain their appearance and durability
- Assist with custodial responsibilities related to industrial cleaning projects or specialized facility maintenance tasks
- Support residential painting projects when needed by preparing surfaces and applying paint with precision
- Maintain cleanliness of equipment and storage areas, ensuring all tools are properly stored and in good working condition
- Follow safety protocols during all cleaning activities and report any hazards or maintenance issues promptly
Experience
- Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or residential settings is highly desirable
- Hands-on experience with floor care techniques such as buffing and polishing
- Familiarity with industrial cleaning procedures and facilities maintenance practices
- Experience in residential painting or related maintenance work is a plus
- Ability to operate cleaning machinery and tools safely and efficiently
- Strong attention to detail with a proactive attitude towards maintaining cleanliness standards
- Excellent time management skills to complete tasks effectively within scheduled shifts
