Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong clinical background and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care. This role involves working in various settings, including hospitals, clinics, and long-term care facilities, where you will be responsible for assessing patient needs, administering treatments, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Duties

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
• Utilize EMR systems such as Epic and Cerner for accurate medical documentation and record-keeping.
• Perform various nursing procedures including IV insertion, catheterization, suturing, and phlebotomy.
• Monitor vital signs and respond to changes in patient conditions promptly.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding health management and treatment options.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals in critical care settings, including ICU and emergency medicine environments.
• Participate in discharge planning and case management for patients transitioning to home or community care.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and NCQA standards in all patient interactions.
• Engage in ongoing professional development to maintain current knowledge of best practices in nursing.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state of practice.
• Experience in acute care settings such as hospitals or long-term care facilities is preferred.
• Familiarity with medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-9 & ICD-10), and CPT coding is advantageous.
• Proficiency in using EHR systems for patient documentation is essential.
• Critical care experience or familiarity with trauma medicine is a plus.
• Skills in specialized areas such as pediatrics, geriatrics, hospice & palliative medicine, or behavioral health are desirable.
• Ability to perform advanced nursing skills including airway management, ventilator care, tube feeding, and pain management techniques.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations, including individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia care needs.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $25.17 - $30.31 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
