Job Summary:
Quality Hardware is growing and looking to add an experienced Project Manager with direct door, frame, and hardware industry experience to our team in Warren, MI. As demand for our solutions continues to expand, we are seeking a professional who can manage complex projects while delivering exceptional customer service.
This role is ideal for someone with a background in the door and hardware industry who enjoys owning projects from start to finish, working directly with customers, and coordinating technical details to ensure accuracy, compliance, and on-time delivery.
*While the preferred candidate will be based in Metro Detroit and available to work onsite, we are willing to consider qualified candidates located anywhere within Michigan for the right fit.
What You’ll Do:
Technical & Project Management:
- Review architectural drawings and specifications
- Apply knowledge of building codes, life safety, and accessibility requirements
- Prepare project estimates based on plans, specifications and customer requirements
- Create hardware submittals by combining door schedules with product data
- Review construction schedules and manage project timelines
- Manage detailed door hardware projects from start to finish
- Review proposals and provide value-engineering insights
Customer & Sales Support:
- Communicate with customers via phone, email, and text
- Respond to customer inquiries within the same business day or next business day
- Maintain a high standard of customer service
- Identify opportunities to recommend additional products, upgrades, or solutions that support customer goals
- Build and maintain long-term client relationships
Team & Professional Expectations:
- Take ownership of responsibilities and commitments
- Work collaboratively as part of a team
- Show initiative in problem-solving
- Maintain a strong attention to detail and drive for continuous improvement
What We’re Looking For:
- 6 years of experience in the door and hardware industry
- 6 years of project management experience, preferably in construction or related fields
- Strong knowledge of door hardware systems and specifications
- Excellent communication, organization, and time-management skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
