Landscape & Hardscape Laborer — Full-Time / Part-TimeOverview
Quality Hands Landscaping is seeking dependable and hardworking individuals to join our growing team. We currently have opportunities available for both full-time and part-time Landscape & Hardscape Laborers.
This is a hands-on position involving landscaping, hardscaping, property maintenance, drainage, and general outdoor construction. Our projects vary from day to day and may include paver patios and walkways, retaining walls, drainage systems, landscape installations, grading, sod, mulch, decorative stone, property maintenance, and other residential and commercial outdoor improvements.
We are looking for individuals who are dependable, take pride in their work, communicate well, follow directions, and are willing to learn. Previous landscaping, hardscaping, masonry, or construction experience is preferred; however, we are willing to train the right person who demonstrates a strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist with the installation of paver patios, walkways, retaining walls, steps, and other hardscape features.
- Assist with drainage installations, grading, excavation, and site preparation.
- Install landscape beds, plants, trees, shrubs, sod, mulch, decorative stone, and other landscape materials.
- Perform property maintenance including mowing, trimming, edging, pruning, cleanup, and general landscape maintenance.
- Perform demolition and removal of existing landscape and hardscape materials as required.
- Load, unload, move, and properly secure tools, equipment, and materials.
- Safely operate hand tools, power tools, mowers, compactors, saws, and other landscaping and construction equipment based on experience and training.
- Assist with or operate skid steers, mini excavators, and other equipment when properly trained and authorized.
- Safely connect, disconnect, back, park, and maneuver company trailers and equipment trailers as required.
- Assist with loading equipment onto trailers and properly securing equipment and materials for transportation.
- Maintain clean and organized trucks, trailers, equipment, and jobsites.
- Perform daily equipment checks and report damage, mechanical problems, or safety concerns to the supervisor.
- Follow jobsite safety procedures and company policies at all times.
- Communicate professionally with supervisors, coworkers, customers, and other contractors while on jobsites.
- Assist with seasonal work, including snow and winter services when applicable.
- Perform other landscaping and construction-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Dependable and able to consistently report to work on time.
- Reliable transportation to and from the designated reporting location.
- Strong work ethic and ability to work as part of a crew.
- Ability to follow instructions and accept direction from crew leaders and supervisors.
- Comfortable performing physically demanding work outdoors for extended periods.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and move landscaping and construction materials.
- Comfortable working in varying weather and jobsite conditions.
- Landscaping, hardscaping, masonry, construction, or grounds-maintenance experience is preferred but not required.
- Experience operating landscape or construction equipment is a plus.
- Experience backing and maneuvering trailers is strongly preferred.
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record are strongly preferred for employees who will operate company vehicles.
- Ability to safely use common hand and power tools.
- Attention to detail and pride in producing quality work.
- Willingness to learn new skills and take on additional responsibilities.

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30.0 – 50.0 per week
