Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Structural Steel Estimator located in San Antonio, TX. The Structural Steel Estimator will be responsible for analyzing project requirements, creating accurate cost estimates for labor, materials, and time, preparing detailed job quotes, collaborating with clients and subcontractors, and managing pre-construction documentation. The role requires attention to detail, effective communication with project teams, and a commitment to meeting deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in cost estimation, bid preparation, and understanding structural steel and construction materials.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple estimates simultaneously.
- Knowledge of blueprints, technical drawings, and construction documents.
- Proven ability to liaise with clients, vendors, and subcontractors to obtain accurate job specifications and quotes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail to ensure precise and reliable estimates.
- Proficiency in estimation software and tools is preferred.
- Previous experience in structural steel or construction estimation is highly desirable.
- A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is an advantage, but equivalent experience will be considered.
