Duties
- Manage the entire closing process by coordinating with loan officers, underwriters, escrow agents, and clients to ensure timely completion of all documentation.
- Review loan files for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with FNMA standards, Fair Housing laws, and TILA regulations.
- Prepare and verify closing disclosures, contracts, and escrow instructions with precision using basic math skills and 10-key typing proficiency.
- Facilitate communication between all parties involved in the closing process to resolve any discrepancies or issues promptly.
- Ensure all loan processing steps are completed according to federal and state regulations, including credit analysis and underwriting review.
- Maintain detailed records of all closing documents, logs, and reports while adhering to confidentiality protocols.
- Assist with post-closing activities such as mortgage servicing setup and final documentation filing.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of FNMA guidelines, underwriting processes, and loan origination procedures.
- Experience in mortgage servicing, credit analysis, and loan processing within financial services or banking environments.
- Familiarity with Fair Housing regulations, TILA (Truth in Lending Act), contracts, escrow procedures, and basic math calculations.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple closings simultaneously under tight deadlines.
