Role Summary: Quality Enterprises’ Safety Consultant works alongside the Director of Safety and Compliance to design and implement an industry-specific Corporate Safety Program. The Consultant will provide resources, training, and best practices for the Director of Safety and Compliance that will help the Company learn how to eliminate safety hazards, ensure compliance with applicable OSHA and MSHA standards, conduct thorough incident investigations, handle insurance claims, and develop a thorough safety training program for all employees.

• Work with the Director of Safety and Compliance and Policy and Procedure Coordinator to develop a library of Company safety policies.
• Help the Director of Safety and Compliance develop a best-in-industry Safety Training Program for employees including:
– New Employee Safety Training
– Weekly Toolbox Talks
– Annual Safety Refresher Training
– MSHA New Miner Training
– MSHA Refresher Training
– Role-specific training for Company drivers
– Role-specific training for field employees
– Role-specific training for office employees
• Evaluate the Company’s accident reporting procedure and forms to identify areas for improvement.
• Evaluate the Company’s drug testing policies to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
• Provide thorough training for the Director of Safety and Compliance on the handling of insurance claims.
• Provide thorough training for the Director of Safety and Compliance on conducting safety audits.
• Provide resources and training to help the Director of Safety and Compliance provide accurate and meaningful safety metrics and KPI reports to the Executive Team.
• Advise the Company on risk mitigation strategies and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Be available to offer general consultation and advice to the Director of Safety and Compliance and/or the Executive Team.

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety, construction management, or related field (preferred).
• 5 years of safety experience in civil construction (roads, utilities, earthwork, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety standards.
• OSHA 30 certification required (OSHA 500/510 preferred).
• CPR/First Aid certification required.
• Experience conducting safety audits and incident investigations.
• Strong attention to detail and hazard recognition.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Experience developing and implementing training programs.
• Proficiency in safety reporting and documentation tools.
• Must pass pre-employment drug test and background screening in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
• This role will require travel to constructions sites and the use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Must be able to walk on job sites as required for essential role responsibilities.
• Must be able to lift and move up to 25 pounds.
