Summary
The Toolmaker/Machinist is responsible for all assigned jobs through completion. A successful candidate will have experience making tooling and fixturing and will be comfortable setting up a wide variety of jobs.

Primary Responsibilities
Running Jobs
· Read blueprints and use the necessary equipment and measuring devices for the fabrication of tooling and fixturing.
· Utilize proper machines to fabricate precision parts according to specifications.
· Verify dimensions of finished parts to ensure they conform to specifications using measurement equipment including but not limited to dial indicators, gage blocks, calipers, and micrometers.
· Work with the management to resolve any issues regarding assigned jobs, discrepancies with material, and purchased items.
Planning
· Review jobs ahead of time with management to develop a processing plan.
· Determine tooling requirements and outside services needed.
· Coordinate roughing/prep/assembly work with management.
Requirements
· Must have experience making tooling/fixturing/lifting devices/ground support equipment.
Experience
· 5 years as a machinist or toolmaker operating a variety of machines stretching across milling and turning.
· The ability to interpret blueprints, document measured dimensions, and execute the job is required.
· Skilled in using precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers
· 5 years with various machine controls, such as: Manual Data Input, Conversational Controls, Prototrak, or Fagor.
Pay
The posted pay range is for the experience listed. Pay outside the range will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
