What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Assurance Technician position at Quality Electrical Systems?
We are seeking a Quality Assurance Technician to support our Quality Assurance and Compliance team. The main responsibility will be to assist with State Certification ensuring that products, services, and operations meet state regulatory standards and certification requirements. This position will assist with the preparation, submission, and monitoring of state certifications, while also ensuring continuous compliance with quality assurance processes. The ideal candidate will have keen attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to interpret and apply regulations accurately.
Key Responsibilities:
- State Certification Assistance:
- Assist in preparing, submitting, and managing state certification applications, renewals, and related documentation.
- Monitor certification deadlines and maintain organized records of all certifications, licenses, and regulatory submissions.
- Liaise with state regulatory bodies and 3rd Party Agencies to ensure compliance and resolve certification-related inquiries or issues.
- Ensure timely and accurate filing of certifications, permits, and renewals to avoid lapses.
- Quality Assurance Support:
- Support the Quality Assurance team by conducting document reviews, preparing reports, and ensuring all processes adhere to internal quality standards.
- Assist with audits, quality checks, and inspections to ensure continuous compliance with relevant quality assurance policies and state regulations.
- Track and document corrective actions and improvements based on audit findings.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of quality assurance activities, including reports, audits, and corrective action documentation.
- Regulatory Compliance:
- Stay up to date with changes in state regulations and certification requirements and communicate updates to relevant teams.
- Support regulatory compliance by helping ensure the organization’s policies and procedures reflect the latest state certification and quality standards.
- Assist in the creation and updating of compliance documentation to meet new or evolving regulations.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Prepare and maintain clear and accurate documentation related to certifications, quality assurance processes, and compliance reports.
- Generate reports on quality assurance metrics, certification statuses, and compliance trends for internal stakeholders.
- Organize and archive documentation to ensure easy retrieval for audits and inspections.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required;
- Experience (preferred but not required):
- 1-3 years of experience in a quality assurance, compliance, or regulatory role, preferably in a regulated industry.
- Familiarity with state certification processes and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Experience with document control systems and quality assurance processes is a plus.
- Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to read, understand, and interpret state regulations and certification guidelines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams), Adobe, and other document management systems.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for interacting with regulatory bodies and internal teams.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
