The Facility Custodian is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and overall upkeep of the manufacturing facility and associated office spaces. This role requires a self-starter who can manage responsibilities independently and complete assigned tasks with little to no supervision. The position supports daily operations by ensuring all areas—including production floors, offices, restrooms, and outdoor grounds—are clean, organized, and safe. The role also involves physical activity throughout 8–10 hour shifts and requires adherence to company policies, including pre-employment drug screening and background check requirements. Bilingual Spanish is a strong plus.

Key Responsibilities- Maintain cleanliness of the manufacturing facility, including floors, carpets, rugs, windows, and walls
- Clean office spaces, breakrooms, lunchroom areas, and restrooms
- Empty trash and recycling bins; remove facility waste and debris
- Break down pallets and boxes for disposal or recycling
- Operate industrial floor cleaners, scrubbers, and power washers
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors across all facility areas
- Disinfect commonly used items such as desks, door handles, office tools, and phones
- Maintain outdoor grounds, including picking up trash in parking lots and surrounding areas
- Remove debris and snow from sidewalks
- Clean and maintain restrooms, including windows and mirrors
- Dust furniture and fixtures throughout the facility
- Monitor and maintain cleaning inventory; place orders for supplies as needed
- Utilize appropriate cleaning products and understand when to use them
- Follow Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) for safe handling of chemicals
- Notify supervisors of unsafe conditions or maintenance concerns
- Demonstrate strong communication skills while coordinating tasks and reporting issues
- Proven working experience as a janitor or facility custodian
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, supplies, and proper usage
- Familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS)
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong work ethic, integrity, and reliability
- Physically capable of lifting 50 lbs as needed
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (810 hour shifts)
- Must be able to pass a preemployment drug screen and background check
- Bilingual Spanish skills are a strong plus
