Position Summary:
Support Quality Dairy by working in the kitchen area of our Quality Café. Greet customers cheerfully take their order, prepare their order, while providing Customer Service Plus 1. You are also required to operate food service equipment and prepare food as necessary.
Job Responsibilities:
Maximize Customer Satisfaction and Sales Improvement by delivering ‘Customer Service 1’.

- Handle customers’ questions, complaints, and concerns quickly and appropriately.
- Monitor and work with management to adjust menu item “build to’s” by day part to maximize sales and minimize waste.
- Use of SERV safe procedures to provide a high quality and consistent product to the customer.
Duties and Operations
- Cook and assemble raw products
- Work with fryers
- Ensure product availability for customers, including prompt fulfillment of on-demand orders.
- Complete any necessary duties on the Kitchen Manager’s days off such as prep, ordering, etc.
- Prioritize duties and manage time to complete all assigned tasks.
- Communicate shift activities or concerns to the Kitchen Manager, Quality Dairy Store Manager, Shift Managers, Fresh Food Category Manager and Plant Manager,.
- Maintain displays, marketing, and product presentation in accordance with the guidelines of Quality Dairy.
- Willing to work flexible hours when needed.
- Follow vendor check-in procedures, including communication of any variances to the Kitchen Manager.
- Perform stocking, cleaning, and food preparation.
- Perform kitchen opening or closing procedures.
- Clean and perform routine maintenance on all equipment, contacting store management or maintenance per policy with concerns.
Safety and Security
- Comply with all Food Safety Regulations and report any concerns to management.
- Ensure internal and external store areas are kept free of safety hazards.
- Correct and report any safety or security violations, concerns, etc. to Food Service Manager or Quality Dairy store management.
Cash Handling/Reporting and Register Operations
- Ensure sales are recorded and cash is secure and accounted for as per policy
- Ensure alcohol/tobacco/lottery and lotto sales are appropriately handled
Personal Conduct
- Model professional and appropriate behaviors for customers and fellow staff members.
- Follow through on assigned tasks and demonstrate timeliness in completion.
- Maintain confidentiality of store personnel and operations.
- Follow all policies: dress code, attendance, food safety, etc.
Essential Skills, Abilities, and Physical Demands:
- Ability to work at various locations

- Exposure to cold temperature (38 degrees) for entire shift
- Handle multiple priorities quickly and effectively
- Standing without sitting for 6-10-hour shifts (sitting only for a break of up to 20 minutes)
- Stooping/kneeling to floor level, climbing, bending and stretching above chest level
- Lifting/moving up to 25 pounds on a regular basis
- Become crossed trained in all attributes of the business
- Lift and organize cases of product and other containers weighing up to 50 pounds one or more times per shift
Education/Experience Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Completion of onsite training from a designated Trainer from Quality Dairy
- Able to pass the Serve Safe Food Handler Certification for Food Service Rep.
