Position Title: Yard Driver (CDL Required)

Position Summary:
Responsible for safely operating tractor-trailer equipment on and off company property to support warehouse and transportation operations, in compliance with all D.O.T. regulations. Ensures proper trailer positioning, equipment readiness, and temperature control for product integrity and delivery efficiency.

• $23.69/HR
• 2AM or 2PM start time (must be open to both)
• Wednesday - Saturday or Sunday - Wednesday (must be open to both)

Key Responsibilities:

• 
  Operate commercial motor carrier equipment safely and efficiently in accordance with D.O.T. regulations.
• 
  Coordinate trailer drop and hook locations with warehouse and transportation teams.
• 
  Inspect and monitor tractor-trailers for defects; check reefer fuel and temperature, and pre-cool units to company specifications.
• 
  Unload return trailers; wash and sweep out trailers as needed.
• 
  Follow all safety protocols, including AIR LINE LOCK and wheel chocking procedures.
• 
  Verify unit departure times and align equipment for assigned routes.
• 
  Update dispatch sheets and communicate with transportation management on trailer status.
• 
  Maintain yard organization and cleanliness; park trailers in designated areas.
• 
  May assist with customer store deliveries, loading and unloading products weighing 5–50 lbs.
• 
  Adhere to all safety, quality, and performance standards.

Physical Requirements:

• 
  Frequently lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs (maximum force up to 150 lbs).
• 
  Stand, walk, and climb into and out of tractors frequently throughout the shift.
• 
  Perform frequent bending, twisting, reaching, and balancing.
• 
  Work in cold environments and tolerate temperature changes.

Qualifications:

• 
  Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and current DOT medical certification.
• 
  1–3 years of tractor-trailer driving experience required.
• 
  High school diploma or equivalent.
• 
  Strong communication and teamwork skills; ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• 
  Must be available for flexible scheduling, including weekends and holidays.
• 
  Ability to safely operate in various weather conditions and cold storage environments.
