Duties
- Assist with framing, drywall installation, trim carpentry, and fixture mounting using hand tools and power tools for woodworking and construction.
- Prepare construction sites by cleaning debris, setting up scaffolding, and organizing materials such as wood construction materials and siding.
- Perform heavy lifting of materials like rebar, lumber, and other building supplies safely and efficiently.
- Operate woodworking machines and power tools safely to cut, shape, or assemble wood components for residential projects.
- Assist in the installation of doors, cabinets, flooring, tile laying, caulking, and siding to ensure quality finishes.
Requirements
- Prior construction experience or background in carpentry or woodworking is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential.
- Familiarity with hand tools such as hammers, saws, drills; experience with power tools for woodworking is a plus.
- Knowledge of construction site safety practices including power tool safety protocols.
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and work at heights or on scaffolding when required.
- Strong attention to detail with good problem-solving skills for interpreting schematics and technical instructions.
- Reliable transportation to job sites; punctuality and a positive attitude are highly valued.
