Salary Range: $115,000-$120,000 annually (DOE) with Bonus potential

Our Romeoville office is seeking a Senior Product Manager in our Product Development operations in Romeoville, Illinois.
Position Overview
The Senior Product Manager will have responsibility for developing new product roads,
leading the innovation process, and driving new product initiatives through the product
development process from ideation to commercialization. Success will ultimately be
measured by product vitality (the amount of new product sold each year as a percentage of
overall sales) and contribution margin improvement. This role is the cornerstone of the
growth plans for the company.
The Senior Product Manager works closely interdepartmentally as well as with outside sources:
· Sales Team: to gather market and customer information, as well as pricing and program development
· Overseas factories and the overseas Quality Craft office: to ensure products are developed and launched on time and on budget
· Marketing: to assist in collateral and other sales tool development
· Outside contractors: for industrial design and development
Job Duties and Responsibilities
· Leads the full product development lifecycle, including innovation, product evaluation, project prioritization, stage-gate progression, commercialization, packaging, testing, certifications, merchandising, and patent/infringement coordination.
· Owns market and competitive intelligence for assigned product categories, maintaining insights repositories to support new product and growth initiatives.
· Manages communication and collaboration with suppliers, Asian vendors, agencies, Sales, customers, and internal teams.
· Drives product category profitability, pricing strategy, forecasting, and S&OP support, while ensuring duties, tariffs, and pricing data remain accurate and up to date.
· Oversees product quality, testing, safety, regulatory compliance, and corrective actions, maintaining required certifications and monitoring relevant government legislation.
· Supports Operations in developing and maintaining a strong supplier base for components and finished goods.
Qualifications
· Strong organizational, communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
· Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and MS Project
· Technical aptitude with knowledge of materials, metal manufacturing processes, and product innovation/improvement
· Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills with a results-driven mindset
· Hands-on approach with willingness to visit jobsites and engage directly with contractors and customers
· Entrepreneurial and goal-oriented, with the ability to develop and nurture new business opportunities
· High ethical standards demonstrated through honesty, integrity, candor, and respect for others
· Strong knowledge of global sourcing, particularly within Asia
· Experience supporting trade shows and participating in sales activities
Education and Experience
· Bachelor’s degree required, and MBA is a plus
· Minimum 5 years of relevant product development experience
· Capability to travel approximately 25% of the time including quarterly international travel to Asia.
