Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of floors, restrooms, offices, hallways, and common areas using appropriate cleaning tools and supplies.
- Conduct industrial cleaning tasks such as floor buffing, stripping, waxing, and carpet cleaning to uphold high standards of cleanliness.
- Maintain cleanliness of windows, glass surfaces, and fixtures to ensure clarity and shine.
- Restock supplies such as paper towels, soap dispensers, and trash bags to ensure continuous availability of essentials.
- Assist with facilities maintenance tasks including minor repairs and reporting larger issues to management promptly.
- Follow safety protocols during all cleaning activities to prevent accidents or injuries.
- Support additional duties such as residential painting or light maintenance as needed to enhance facility upkeep.
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial or industrial cleaning environments with a focus on janitorial duties.
- Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques including floor care, buffing, stripping, waxing, and carpet extraction.
- Familiarity with custodial equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, steam cleaners, and pressure washers.
- Ability to perform custodial tasks efficiently while maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to identify areas needing special care or repair.
- Good physical stamina for standing, bending, lifting heavy objects, and working in various environments.
