Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Painter to join our dynamic construction and renovation team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying paint, coatings, and finishes to a variety of surfaces in residential, commercial, and structural projects. Duties

• Prepare surfaces through sanding, scraping, cleaning, and surface repair to ensure optimal paint adhesion and finish quality
• Apply primers, paints, stains, varnishes, and coatings using brushes, rollers, spray guns (including conventional and construction spray painting equipment), and other hand or power tools
• Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and surface specifications to accurately execute painting projects
• Conduct surface preparation tasks such as drywall installation, plastering, caulking, and fixture installation for renovation or remodeling projects
• Use ladder safety protocols effectively while working at heights; ensure all safety regulations are followed during painting operations
• Perform site inspections to assess surface conditions and determine appropriate materials and techniques for each project
• Maintain a clean work environment by properly handling waste materials and storing tools safely; adhere strictly to safety regulations including respiratory protection measures
• Assist with construction estimating by assessing project scope and material requirements when needed
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards

Qualifications

• Proven experience in construction painting with a strong understanding of surface preparation, coating application, and finishing techniques
• Knowledge of color theory to match paint colors accurately for aesthetic consistency
• Skilled in residential painting as well as structural and commercial painting projects
• Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, paint sprayers (including conventional spraying), brushes, rollers, and scaffolding or ladders safely
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and surface specifications effectively
• Familiarity with construction estimating processes and basic math skills for measuring areas and calculating material needs
• Experience with drywall installation, plastering, caulking, fixture installation, remodeling, or maintenance work is highly desirable
• Strong understanding of safety regulations related to construction site work; committed to following safety protocol including respiratory protection measures
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to perform visual color comparisons accurately
• Construction site experience with knowledge of blueprint reading is preferred
• Additional handyman experience or involvement in renovation projects will be considered an asset

Minimum 3 years residential panting experience, able to work independently, able to safely lift and carry 75 pounds, valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and eligible to work in the U.S. and able to complete tax employment paperwork.
