Job Type: Full-Time (30–40 hours/week)
Schedule: Primarily 2nd/3rd Shift (Typical hours between 3:00 PM – 3:00 AM) with flexibility and occasional weekends
Position Overview
Quality Cleaning Service is seeking a dependable, hands-on Operations Manager, Site Supervisor, and Lead Floater to oversee nightly janitorial operations across multiple customer sites. This is a leadership role that combines supervision, training, quality control, and hands-on cleaning support.
The ideal candidate is flexible, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. This position plays a critical role in ensuring all locations are fully staffed, cleaned to company standards, and operating efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Site Supervision & Quality Control
- Oversee janitorial operations across multiple job sites
- Conduct routine inspections to ensure cleanliness and adherence to company standards
- Address site issues promptly and communicate with management as needed
- Ensure all work meets contractual and quality expectations
Staff Leadership & Development
- Supervise, train, and support custodial staff
- Train new hires on cleaning procedures, safety protocols, and company standards
- Provide ongoing coaching to maintain performance and accountability
- Coordinate staffing and adjust schedules to ensure full coverage
Floater / Coverage Support
- Travel between job sites to fill in for call-offs or staffing gaps
- Perform general cleaning duties as needed, including:
- Restrooms, offices, and common areas
- Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and trash removal
- Assist with larger or more detailed cleaning tasks when necessary
Operations & Efficiency
- Monitor and manage cleaning supplies, equipment, and inventory
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of equipment, including floor machines
- Uphold safety standards and company policies at all locations
- Identify areas for improvement and help implement more efficient processes
Customer Relations
- Maintain professional communication with clients
- Address concerns quickly and help build strong, long-term relationships
Qualifications
- Previous experience in janitorial, custodial, or facilities management preferred
- Leadership or supervisory experience strongly preferred
- Floor care experience (scrubbing, buffing, stripping/waxing) is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple locations and responsibilities
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
Work Environment
- Frequent travel between multiple job sites
- Hands-on, physical role including lifting, bending, and extended periods of activity
- Flexible schedule required based on operational needs
