ob Description – Project Manager (Civil Engineering)
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Development
- Train and supervise Assistant Project Managers and Superintendents; manage performance and ensure adherence to project budgets, schedules, and company policies.
Construction Management
- Lead the full project lifecycle from construction start-up through punch-list, turnover, and close-out.
- Maintain project documents and all required logs (RFIs, submittals, change orders, inspections, daily logs, payroll, QC, as-builts, permits, etc.).
- Develop and manage Two-Week Look-Ahead schedules and coordinate with field teams for alignment.
- Review plans/specifications; ensure subcontractor and vendor coordination, quality control, compliance, and safety.
- Oversee jobsite activities: subcontractor oversight, scheduling, site/public safety, inspections, deliveries, storage, and security.
- Manage permits and approvals with agencies (DOB, DOT, MTA, DEC).
- Approve vendor invoices, monitor payments, and manage ACR reports and anticipated costs.
- Prepare accurate monthly/quarterly project reports for senior leadership and owners.
- Organize and lead all project meetings including trade, safety, and required agency meetings.
Required Experience
- 10 years in construction or project management with full lifecycle project delivery.
- Strong background supervising APMs, Superintendents, contractors, and vendors.
- Proven expertise in contract administration, change orders, documentation, and compliance.
- Hands-on experience with scheduling, budgeting, ACR reporting, and cost tracking.
- Experience managing permits with regulatory agencies.
- Proficiency maintaining comprehensive project logs and documentation.
- Strong reporting skills and experience presenting to senior management/clients.
- Ability to manage material deliveries, storage, and protection onsite.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $150,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
