Parts Counter Clerk

Quality Chevrolet Of Escondido is seeking a Full Time Parts Counter Clerk to locate automotive parts within the current inventory or from other sources (such as the internet, vendors, other dealerships, etc.) to generate sales. This person will be eager to grow a professional career!

Qualification:

• MUST HAVE A VALID DRIVER'S LICENSE
• GM Parts Counter experience preferred
• High school diploma or GED
• Working knowledge of automotive parts
• Excellent communication, customer service, and problem solving skills, including the ability to maintain composure under stress
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Helpful attitude and friendly demeanor
• Highly professional and dependable
• Strong computer and internet skills
• Ability to work well with the public
• Not afraid to ask for the sale
• Product knowledge, proficient with Electronic Parts Catalogs, and Electronic Communication
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
• Strong phone communication
• Adapt under pressure, and possess attention to detail

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Can accurately answer questions and satisfy customer inquiries in person and over the phone
• Respond to Internet and Phone inquiries
• Extremely knowledgeable about automotive parts and accessories
• Able to locate accessories/parts
• Inspect shipments and receipt for quantity and damage if applicable
• Maintain physical inventory by keeping stock in correct locations, sale condition and free of safety hazards
• Maintain all parts shelves are stocked using the space available in an efficient manner
• Notify the parts manager of any parts that are received damaged or missing
• Monitors parts inventory and maintains storage area in good condition
• Must be able to lift, bend and carry parts and accessories that weigh upwards of 75 pounds
• Must be able to follow instructions while working safely and efficiently in a fast paced environment
• Provides timely and accurate reports as required
• Ensures safe and on time delivery of parts following all company procedures and standards
• Keep an accurate log of deliveries
