Role Description
The Terminal Driver Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Charleston, SC. The manager will oversee daily driver management (with some planning functions including the scope of work) ensuring efficient transportation and fleet management. Responsibilities include managing driver schedules, handling customer service inquiries, coordinating transportation logistics, overseeing compliance with safety standards, and optimizing operational efficiencies. The position requires collaboration with drivers, internal teams to meet organizational goals.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Operations Management and Transportation Management to oversee terminal processes and logistics coordination.
- Proficiency in Fleet Management to ensure maintenance and optimal utilization of vehicles and equipment.
- Excellent Customer Service and Communication skills to manage relationships with drivers and clients effectively.
- Thorough knowledge of FMCSA regulations and DOT transportation laws including hours of service.
- Ability to prioritize safety and compliance with regulations in all aspects of operational management.
- Previous experience in the transportation or logistics industry is highly beneficial.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, logistics, or a related field is preferred but not required.
