The Sr. Software Developer will be part of an experienced development team working on logistics-driven applications that power operations across North America. This is a hands-on role focused on solving real problems in complex, real-world systems. You will work across our Microsoft stack, support critical integrations, and help keep delivery moving in a practical, no-nonsense environment. This role requires comfort working in systems with some ambiguity; figuring things out is part of the job. You will be expected to take ownership of key systems and features, contribute to sprint planning, and collaborate directly with stakeholders.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Own and enhance custom .NET (C#) applications and SQL Server-backed systems used across our logistics network.
- Work across the stack - primarily backend (.NET/SQL), with opportunities to contribute to front-end applications.
- Support and improve business-critical integrations with customers and partners (EDI), along with Oracle Fusion and internal platforms.
- Contribute to sprint planning and help keep delivery on track by identifying blockers and driving work forward.
- Contribute to agile ceremonies (planning, standups, retros) to keep work organized and moving forward.
- Participate in peer code reviews (via Crucible) and drive production issues to resolution while improving system reliability and documentation.
- Support CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins (or similar) for automated builds and releases.
- Work directly with analysts and business users to refine specs, implement solutions, and improve UX.
- Clearly explain technical decisions and progress to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Use tools like Atlassian Rovo Dev and Google Gemini to assist with development, debugging, and analysis.
- Identify practical ways AI can improve day-to-day development efficiency.
- Contribute to a team culture of leveraging AI as a productivity tool.

Requirements
Skills and Abilities:
- 5–8 years of professional experience with C#, .NET, and SQL Server
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to work through complex production issues
- Experience supporting and maintaining production systems
- Experience working in agile teams (Jira or similar tools)
- Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- A sense of ownership and accountability for your work
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment
Education and Experience:
- 4-year Computer Science degree preferred; equivalent experience also valued
- Familiarity with Git, JavaScript, SSRS, and agile workflows
- Exposure to logistics, compliance, or workflow automation

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
- This is a full-time position, and days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m.
