- Assist residents or clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with cooking to meet dietary needs and preferences
- Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning duties and infection control practices
- Use specialized equipment like Hoyer lifts or resident’s safety equipment to safely transfer individuals with mobility challenges
- Document patient observations, care activities, and incident reports accurately and promptly
Experience
- Prior experience working in assisted living, nursing homes, home & community care, or group homes is highly desirable
- Familiarity with dementia, Alzheimer’s care, memory care, hospice care, or working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism enhances your ability to provide specialized support
- Knowledge of patient monitoring techniques and vital signs measurement is essential
- Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate supportive equipment such as Hoyer lifts or wheelchairs
- Previous roles involving patient observation, social work principles, or long-term care contribute to success in this position
