Quality Care Pediatrics is seeking a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner with over 5 years' experience in a pediatric setting for individuals younger than 21 years of age. The ideal candidate must possess extensive knowledge in performing well-child visits, sick visits, physical exams, diagnosing and treating common illnesses, and managing chronic conditions like asthma or diabetes.
Key duties involve prescribing medication, ordering diagnostic tests, providing preventive care and immunizations, and offering health education and anticipatory guidance to families. Documenting patient visit notes within 48 hours of patient visit.
Must hold a current license to practice in Georgia.
Key responsibilities
Patient assessment:
Conduct physical examinations, including well-child checks, school physicals, and sports physicals.
Diagnosis and treatment:
Assess, diagnose, and treat acute illnesses (e.g., cough, flu) and manage chronic conditions (e.g., asthma, diabetes).
Prescribing and testing:
Prescribe medications and order/interpret diagnostic tests to aid in diagnosis
and treatment.
Preventive care:
Provide immunizations, perform developmental check-ups, and offer guidance on nutrition, growth, and development.
Patient and family education:
Educate patients and their families on health management, preventive care, and any necessary follow-up steps.
Collaboration:
Work with physicians and other healthcare team members to ensure continuity and comprehensive care for patients.
Additional requirements:
Documenting in EMR system (AdvancedMD) Bilingual a plus
