Duties
- Supervise children during daily activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
- Assist with implementing age-appropriate educational programs focused on childhood development and learning milestones
- Support classroom management by organizing activities, materials, and play areas to promote engagement and safety
- Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding children’s progress, needs, and daily experiences
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment that adheres to health and safety standards
- Follow mandated reporting laws by recognizing signs of neglect or abuse and reporting concerns appropriately
- Support children with diapering, feeding, nap times, and other caregiving responsibilities as needed
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or similar settings is highly preferred
- Knowledge of child development instruction and early childhood education principles
- Certification in first aid and CPR (Pediatric First Aid preferred) to ensure quick response in emergencies (or willing to obtain upon hire)
- Strong understanding of classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies
- Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members
- Familiarity with mandated reporting laws and child safety protocols
- Passion for nurturing young minds and supporting their growth through caregiving and educational activities
Pay: $16.94 - $18.00 per hour
