Responsibilities

  • Greet patients warmly and assist with check-in procedures, including collecting accurate intake information and verifying insurance details
  • Measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates with precision
  • Prepare patients for examinations by explaining procedures and ensuring comfort throughout their visit
  • Assist healthcare providers with clinical tasks including medication administration, specimen collection, and basic wound care
  • Operate EHR (Electronic Health Record) systems efficiently to document patient encounters accurately and maintain detailed medical records
  • Support diagnostic procedures such as X-ray imaging or basic laboratory tests when required
  • Manage patient flow by scheduling appointments, follow-ups, and coordinating referrals to specialists or inpatient services

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, ICD coding (International Classification of Diseases), and pharmacology principles
  • Demonstrated ability to perform clinical tasks including medication administration and vital signs measurement with accuracy and professionalism
  • Familiarity with EHR systems and medical administrative support functions such as appointment scheduling and patient intake processes
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) willingness to obtain certifications if not already held .
  • Excellent communication skills with a patient-centered approach to service delivery in outpatient clinic.
