Responsibilities
- Install low voltage systems including security systems, voice/data and CCTV.
- Conduct regular maintenance checks on installed systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to low voltage equipment and cabling.
- Utilize hand tools and specialized equipment for installation and repair tasks.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
- Assist in alarm system sales by providing technical expertise during consultations.
- Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and service calls.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in low voltage technology.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Low Voltage Technician or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of security systems, fire alarms, cabling, and electrical principles.
- Familiarity with remote access software and computer networking concepts.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Certification in low voltage installation or related fields is preferred.
- Proficient in using hand tools and diagnostic equipment related to low voltage systems.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
