SummaryAdvanced Products Group (APG) is a recognized leader in the installation of business telephone systems and computer LAN systems. We are in search of a motivated and self-driven business support technician. An ideal candidate will have experience installing, configuring, operating, and providing ongoing support for business telephone and related systems. (key systems, paging equipment, WiFi) and other related support systems.
This position is to support customers in Northern Indiana.
Knowledge areas should include: - Windows W7 and W10 experience,- telephony knowledge and acronym terms- local area network installation and troubleshooting
Responsibilities
- Work with an industry team that provides platinum level support to the enterprise industry segment. This work team has initial design-to-implementation support for businesses of all sizes.
- experience with:- key or PBX installation & equipment - VoIP telephone service - strong problem solving abilities - a work setting with a low margin of error - be able to work with minimal supervision
Qualifications
- High school degree or equivalent
- A degree is great, but work experience is even better.
- Training will also be provided.
Must have
- Current valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Must be capable of carrying a 24-foot ladder and wearing fall protection if needed.
- The ability to lift up to 60 pounds unassisted
- You must follow safety guidelines and wear personal protective equipment.
Work schedule and conditions
- Five (5) 8 hour days - minimum
- Some weeks may require time and a half OT.
- You will be working in all types of environments, residential, business, manufacturing, inside, and outside.
- There will be travel to the job sites as needed.
- There will be limited travel as needed.
