Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Custodian to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all visitors and staff. This is an early morning shift beginning at 8 am. This role requires attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Duties
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming in designated areas.
- Maintain cleanliness in restrooms, break rooms, and common areas.
- Conduct floor care activities such as buffing and stripping floors as needed..
- Handle commercial cleaning duties in various settings including offices and industrial spaces.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly.
- Ensure all cleaning supplies and equipment are properly stored and maintained.
Experience
- Previous experience in custodial or commercial cleaning roles is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with facilities maintenance practices is a plus.
- Skills in residential painting or porter duties are advantageous.
- Knowledge of industrial cleaning techniques and safety protocols is beneficial.
- Ability to operate floor care equipment effectively.
- Must be able to operate smartphone and check in on app for attendance purposes.
